It doesn’t matter when you potty train or even HOW you potty train. Some kids have a really strong reaction to this major transition.

Since Simon & Schuster re-launched Oh Crap Potty Training  in 2015, it has soared in popularity—and with that came lots of questions. Most are covered in the book, but since some aren’t, I’ve created posts, videos, and podcasts to help with the many issues that can pop up. This post pulls together links, resources, and book references (because let’s be real—potty training can make anyone fuzzy-brained).
If you haven’t read the book yet, I highly recommend it. It’s not just a how-to—it covers all the tricky things that can get in your way before you even start and the curveballs that show up once you begin. It’s a reference you’ll return to again and again. If you’re more of a cliff-notes type, grab My Free Potty 101 guide.
I can’t personally work with every family, but I’m always learning new tips and making them available. You’ll find answers here on the blog, on my YouTube channel, in over 70 hours of podcast episodes (Oh Crap Potty Training), and in plenty of quick tip reels on Instagram.
Also—don’t skip the back of the book! My top twelve most-asked questions are hiding back there, and they’re gold.
And if you’re in tears over potty training or just need a more personalized plan, head to our POTTY SUPPORT PAGE. for different levels of help. We’ll work with your child’s strengths and personality for the best success.
So, without further ado—here’s the mother of all posts. These questions and situations come in many forms, so pick the one closest to yours and start there.
